From the recording White Dove Of The Desert feat. Kati Penn
"White Dove Of The Desert" depicts the true story of the San Xavier Del Bac Mission, built in 1692 in Tucson, Arizona as a way to tame the west, and introduce Christianity to that region. Since it was a SouthWestern theme, and because the music allowed, we decided to approach portions of the song with a “bluegrass rhumba” vibe (ala. Jim and Jesse, Johnny and Jack), interspersing with regular bluegrass time on the chorus.
