DANIEL PATRICK
Daniel Patrick is a Charleston, South Carolina–based musician, songwriter, podcaster, and creator who built a second career by betting on himself. In 2016, Daniel left his longtime day job to pursue music full time. He spent the next several years saying yes to nearly every opportunity that came his way, at times performing more than 300 gigs a year while developing his voice as a mandolinist, singer, songwriter, and frontman. In 2019, he launched “The Mandolins and Beer Podcast”. What began as a niche project grew into one of the leading podcasts in the mandolin community, reaching the Top Ten on Apple's podcast charts in the United States and several other countries. Daniel's latest album “Around the Clock” (2024) is a collection of songs from outside the bluegrass world alongside musicians including Sam Bush, Ronnie McCoury, Tim O'Brien, Sharon Gilchrist, Jacob Jolliff, Mike Guggino, Matt Flinner, Joe K. Walsh, and others. Daniel writes about everything from personal experiences and everyday struggles to completely fictional story songs—all connected by the things we have in common while trying to build a successful second act.
